Sour Ale

Lucky Envelope TropiCoolship Sour

We pushed our favorite blend of 18-36 month old blonde coolship barrels into our blending tank with key lime, mango, and peach purees to age an additional 12 months. The resulting beer is bright and tart with notes of key lime pie, luscious stone fruit and a hint of coconut.

Lucky Envelope Boysenberry Rhubarb Sour

We were craving long days of summer so much that we decided to brew up a new sour inspired by one of our favorite fruit combos. Jammy boysenberry and sharp rhubarb purees are brewed into our house kettle sour giving us a beer to remind us that warm weather will be here before we know it!

Lucky Envelope Lemon Meadow Sour

We infused our crushable golden sour with the citrusy, floral blend of green Rooibos, lemon grass, lemon peel, lavender flowers, rosemary, lemon and mandarin orange. This herbal tea blend blankets the bright lactic acidity of the kettle sour with wonderful citrus and flowery flavors.

Lucky Envelope Blackberry Cobbler Sour

Old-fashioned fruit-filled desert meets our modern sour ale in this limited release beer brewed with hundreds of pounds of blackberries, lemon zest, real vanilla and lactose. The golden sour base gives the blackberries the flavor spotlight while the addition of lactose gives this sour a perfect blend of tartness and rich creaminess.

Lucky Envelope Cinnamon-Orange Black Tea Sour Ale

We brewed our tried and true tea kettle sour with Seattle's own Marketspice signature Cinnamon-Orange Black Tea. The earthy flavors of black tea paired with spices and naturally sweet orange warm our lightly acidic base golden sour into an ideal winter sour.

Stanley Park Passion Fruit Sour

As Vancourites brave record-breaking temperatures, Stanley Park Brewing has launched their Passion Fruit Sour - the thirst-quencher you need to beat the heat. This Pacific-Northwest Style Sour Weisse is brewed with North American Crystal hops and a blend of wheat and barley malt. It is then kettle soured for a tart finish, which is further enhanced by the addition of passionfruit concentrate. Expect the passion fruit to dominate the aroma and flavours, with a lemony citrus note cutting through from the kettle souring process and choice of hops.

Aslan Raspberry Dojo '19

Raspberry Dojo, like all others in our Dojo series, begins with the same base beer. Once the fruit is ripe and picked down in Skagit Valley by our friends at Hedlin Farms, we take the whole fruit and blend it into a "puree" and mix it with our base Saison in a French Oak barrel. We let this beer rest in the barrels for just under a year before blending it for packaging. This beer has flavors of, can you guess.... Fresh Raspberries. There is an oakiness that balances the raspberries' acidity and leaves you feeling like you just had a creamsicle. We love the beers in the Dojo series because it gives us an opportunity to further experience the magical growing region we call home.
