We were craving long days of summer so much that we decided to brew up a new sour inspired by one of our favorite fruit combos. Jammy boysenberry and sharp rhubarb purees are brewed into our house kettle sour giving us a beer to remind us that warm weather will be here before we know it!
Our gin barrels #39 and #40 were filled with our base farmhouse beer to funkify for over two years on our spontaneous house culture. We further conditioned the beer in stainless for another 18 months to let the flavors blend together. The resulting beer is pleasantly tart with a touch of brett character. We taste notes of overripe pineapple, herbal bitters, and a hint of leather.
We pushed our favorite blend of 18-36 month old blonde coolship barrels into our blending tank with key lime, mango, and peach purees to age an additional 12 months. The resulting beer is bright and tart with notes of key lime pie, luscious stone fruit and a hint of coconut.
We paired the sweet rose flavor of juicy lychee fruits with lemon puree and brewed it into our base blonde kettle sour. The subtle floral notes of lychee complement the refreshing taste of lemonade making this sour ale the perfect choice for watching springtime flowers bloom. Available on draft and in cans.
