Nearly two weeks into their release, the folks at Cascade Brewing Company are happy to confirm they still have Citrus Noyaux 2019 available for purchase. Oh, you didn’t know?
Released a couple weeks ago, during a seasonable Thursday, Cascade Brewing Company blew the dust off their bottle-conditioned Citrus Noyaux. Their 2019-edition, Citrus Noyaux is a blend of sour blonde, aged in wine barrels (for two years). During the rest, the brewers also aged the beer with fresh orange, grapefruit, and lemon peels. Besides fresh fruit zest, the brewer hand pitted and removed the noyaux kernels from locally sourced apricots and added them into the beer. The result of including noyaux kernels is a beer with the addition of almond and maraschino cherry character, and citrus notes from the peels.
In addition to being available at the brewery, the ownership and staff at the brewery had this message.
During the COVID-19 shutdown, Cascade Brewing is offering beer to go––including Citrus Noyaux––via home delivery and curbside pickup. Customers can place an order for beer (and limited food) at CascadeBrewing.shop, with curbside pickup at the Barrel House at 939 SE Belmont St. every Thursday through Sunday from 3pm to 7pm. Home delivery orders of beer only are delivered every Thursday.
Should you live closer to Cascade Barrel House’s sister-location, Lodge at Cascade Brewing, you will have your chance to recover beer and food from a limited menu, available for pickup (every Tuesday - Saturday, from 12 pm to 8 pm).
The Cascade Barrel House is located at 939 SE Belmont Street in Portland and is open Thursday thru Sunday, from 3 pm to 7 pm. Or if you prefer, Lodge at Cascade Brewing is located at 7424 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy. in Beaverton.
