Released last week, Von Ebert Brewing Company has done the unthinkable by canning up their Drink Me Potion and Munich Bock in 16-ounce four-packs.

Available and always popular at their two taproom locations, Von Ebert’s Drink Me Potion is a marriage of fruit and imagination. Canned from the latest addition, which made use of red raspberries, strawberries, and coriander; Drink Me Potion glides along your palate at 5.6% ABV (alcohol by volume). It also might inspire a conversation on how the brewers conceived and released such a beer. Want in on a secret, here’s how.

“Our house lactobacillus blend produces a balanced and fruit forward acidity that we love pairing with red raspberries,” said Sam Pecoraro, head brewer, Von Ebert Pearl. “The red raspberries give the beer a tangy brightness that’s balanced by the perceived sweetness of the strawberries. The coriander provides background complexity and pushes the potion-like qualities of the beer. It’s light, fruity and refreshing; perfect for warm weather.”

Historically, Drink Me Potion has gone through a metamorphosis, while maintaining a vibrant pink hue, inspiring thoughts grazing amongst fields and vines.

A lager with a storied history, Munich Bock is a style that is a hybrid between a Pale Bock and a Doppelbock. Owing to a recipe in a book on historic, German, styles; the brewer has taken the lead in brewing a forgotten style of beer. Simply put, Munich Bock is a lager with notes of grape nuts and English toffee, and malt sweetness that is balanced by the use of tradition, noble hops.

It contains notes of grape nuts and English toffee with an expressive malt sweetness that is balanced by a subtle, noble hop presence.

Side-by-side with Drink Me Potion, Munich Bock joins the family of takeout and delivery options, from Von Ebert Brewing’s Glendoveer and Pearl taprooms.
