Released over the weekend of August 14th, Cascade Brewing Company is pleased to share Mango Road 2019. The latest from one of the few fruit-focussed breweries in Portland, Cascade Brewing is excited about their newest sour ale project.

Available in 500ml bottles and on draft, Mango Road is a sour ale, aged in oak wine barrels for up to 18 months. Once it has reached its potential in the barrel, the beer is joined by fresh mangoes and infusion of jasmine flowers and pink peppercorn. Through this union, the brewery tells a story in liquid, traveling from Oceania, Southeast Asia, Eurasia, Central and South America, and arriving in your glass.

Like previous iterations of the sour ale project releases, this one is available at both of Cascade Brewing’s taprooms - the Cascade Barrel House and the Lodge at Cascade Brewing - or wherever you find current Cascade Brewing Company beers.

The Cascade Barrel House is located at 939 SE Belmont Street in Portland and is open Thursday thru Sunday, from 3 pm to 7 pm. Or if you prefer, Lodge at Cascade Brewing is located at 7424 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy. in Beaverton. For more information on the Cascade Barrel House’s selection of food and takeout beers, visit CascadeBrewing.shop or LodgeAtCascade.com for a selection of food and takeout beers via Lodge at Cascade Brewing.

About Cascade Brewing

Founded in Portland, Oregon in 1998, Cascade Brewing is a pioneer of the sour beer renaissance, innovating the Northwest Sour Ale in 2006. The brewery’s portfolio of distinctive sour ales features fruit-forward, barrel-aged ales with complex flavors and aromas derived from the acid, the fruit and the residual flavors present in the aging barrels. An emphasis on year-to-year variation captures the unique subtleties of each year’s fruit growing season, leading sour beer connoisseurs around the world to seek out Cascade’s Northwest Sour Ales. The brewery also brews a broad range of non-sour styles with the same level of quality and creativity that has become synonymous with the Cascade Brewing brand.
