As Bellingham Beer Week looms in the close future it’s time to set your schedule You will definitely want to include Chuckanut’s Lecture Series April 23 to 25 at 7 pm in the back covered patio at 601 W Holly St, Bellingham. April 24 another well known beer writer and podcaster Jeff Alworth will talk about his book “Secrets of the Brew Masters”. And on April 25 members of the Whatcom Symphony will talk and play classical music for the first of the season “Classical on Tap”. John Holl is the author of The Craft Beer Cookbook, past editor for All About Beer Magazine and now senior editor and writer for Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine. He also produces a great podcast about craft beer for the magazine. He will be talking about the state of craft beer in America: past, present and future at this year’s lecture.

Village Books will be on hand during both of the authors’ talks. They will have a selection of beer books available for purchase and if you purchase one of the author’s books they will sign them for you.
On Wednesday, April 25 members of the Whatcom Symphony will present the kickoff program at the Kitchen on the last Wednesday of every month called Symphony on Tap. They will include talking about and playing classical music as a way of introducing it to those who have never considered it and to those that love it and want to know more about it. The Executive Director, Gail Ridenour will talk about the pieces of music, its history and the musicians that are performing the pieces before each piece. She always leaves plenty of time for questions about the classical music being performed and the Whatcom Symphony.
