Press Release
There’s so much to know about so many things that Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen at 601 W Holly St, Bellingham has decided to run a Lecture Series for Bellingham Beer Week April 24-26 at 7pm. During the talks there will be raffles in support of the Max Higbee Center too! On April 24 Canadian beer Writer Joe Wiebe will talk, April 25 representatives from Skagit Valley Malting Company will present information about their malting house and April 26 members of the Whatcom Symphony will talk and play classical music.
Beer writer Joe Wiebe will discuss his book “Craft Beer Revolution: The Insiders Guide to BC” and “The BC Ale Trail Project”. If you’ve been curious about what’s been happening just across the border from us you’ll want to catch what Joe has to say on Monday, April 24. Susan Welch and Adam Foy will both be presenting information about Skagit Valley Malting’s Culinary and Brewing malts made from grains grown in Skagit and Whatcom County on Tuesday, April 25. Chuckanut’s South Nut Brewery neighbor is a pioneer in the craft malting field. They are becoming more well-known across the US and the world as they continue to produce some of the best local malts available to brewers and bakers. On Wednesday, April 26 members of the Whatcom Symphony have a program they will present at the Kitchen on the last Wednesday of every month called Symphony on Tap. They will include talking about and playing classical music as a way of introducing it to those who have never considered it and to those that love it and want to know more about it.
There’s a little of something for everyone at the Chuckanut Brewery Lecture Series and we hope you will take advantage of it. Whether you’re a classical music lover, beer lover and baker, or beer traveler you’ll want to make it over to Chuckanut’s Kitchen during Bellingham Beer Week.
