This competition is open to any Oregon resident homebrewer age 21 or older and is not limited to any particular category or style of beer, within the below guidelines. The beers will not be judged to a specific Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) style, but for technical merit and appeal for commercial brewing. 2 Towns Ciderhouse earned the Global Crushie in all 3 of its entries, the most prestigious honor offered by the Craft Beer Marketing Awards (also known as the “Crushies”). Within the competition, only one recipient per category is granted the esteemed Global Crushie award.
In the cider awards, Cotswold Cider Company won The International Innovative Cider trophy for its Phantom of the Orchard, while USA triumphed in The International Classic Cider Competition with Portland Cider Company taking home the trophy for its Original Gold. Stonewell Cider from Ireland picked up The International Flavoured Cider trophy with Rós.
