Out tomorrow, Gigantic Brewing's Project Pilsner Mosaic.
Nearly two-months into 2021 and Gigantic Brewing Company has another announcement to share. This time the brewery is happy to announce the fourth variant in their single hop American Pilsner series, Project Pilsner Mosaic. Focusing on interpreting established styles, Project Pilsner takes the classic Pilsner and turns it on its head.
Using Mosaic hops, a relatively established variety of hop, the Gigantic has created a lager that is bright, citrus-focused, and with notes of berries, mangoes, and pine.

If you're scratching your head over why the brewery has made lagers during the pandemic, then you’re not alone. Owning up to their procrastination, the brewers recognize they should have done this sooner, and it’s probably not going to be a one-off. As co-owner Ben Love puts it.
We decided to do a pilsner series because it’s a style we all love to drink”
Like all Gigantic Brewing releases, the label is just as important as the beer. Which is why the brewery has selected artist Bene Rohlman. Known for this “... bright, colorful style with nature-related themes, traditional art from native tribes, Mexican death cults, and classic Disney movies - a reinterpretation of “classic themes” he was the perfect choice. With Bene’s focus on reinterpreting classic, established styles, Gigantic were made for each other.
Overall Project Pilsner will each have a single hop like Citra, Galaxy, Mosaic, Lotus, and Crystal hops.

Available tomorrow, in reusable, 16.9oz bottles and pints, the brewery invites you to stop by their two locations, via “The Brewery & Champagne Lounge” or the “Robot Room”. Those more timid or supportive of their local ‘hoods should give their local beer shop in the coming weeks.
