Von Ebert Brewing Company releases canned Black Pils and draft this Friday.

Fast off their medal-winning season last year, Portland’s Von Ebert Brewing company is already looking towards 2020 with their latest beer announcement.

A marriage of two German-style beers, the Pilsner and Schwarzbier, Black Pils is a love letter to those looking for something different from their usual German-inspired brewery. Described by the brewery as a team effort between the brewers, to create a pilsner that matched the skies and demeanor of Wintery days and nights in the Pacific Northwest, Black Pils might be the perfect ‘mood beer’.

Weighing in at 5% ABV (alcohol by volume) and 33 IBU (international bittering units), Black Pils is a beer with notes of light caramel, subtle light-roasted coffee, fresh cut herbs, and a bitterness that lingers like the rains in January.

In cans at both of Von Ebert’s locations, in Glendover and the Pearl District, Black Pils will also be on draft this Friday, January 10th.

Von Ebert Brewing Company is located at 131 NW 13th Avenue in Portland’s Pearl District and 14021 NE Glisan Street in Portland’s Glendover neighborhood. For more information including hours, food menus, events, and draft menus; visit http://www.vonebertbrewing.com/
