Ask anyone who’s grown up in the country, traveling along dirt roads, or ever taken a stroll along a stretch of unmanicured berry bushes. Like a grazing animal, there is something innocent that warms the adolescent fires, like consumer berries off the vine. For some this means visiting their nearby neighbour’s garden, a farm out in the country, or stopping by your local market for a bushel. Whatever your preferred method to consumer raspberries, we are sure you’re going to love Four Winds’ latest release - Acid Razz.

Brewed to be a farmhouse ale, the brewers of Delta’s Four Winds Brewing sought to recreate the joy of consuming raspberries, paired beautifully with a classic rustic ale.

Fermented with Sacch Trois and Lactobacillus, Acid Razz continues to age in oak, born a farmhouse ale sleeping softly with copious amounts of raspberries, and the wild yeast strain Brettanomyces. Aging away for a year, they refresh the beer with a fresh complement of raspberries and a hint of dry-hopping before being bottled.

The result is a beer that is described by the brewery, well, like this.

Acid Razz is a tart, barrel-aged raspberry farmhouse ale using raspberries both in the brewing and aging process. So while the aging process and yeasts used provide a tart element to this beer, you also get a big wallop of raspberries in every sip, making for a juicy treat. The perfect beer to top-off a crazy summer.

At 6% and 10 IBU (international bittering units), Acid Razz is now available at Four Winds’ taproom and government liquor stores.
