SAN LEANDRO, CA - January 4, 2016 - If you wanted to sneak into spring, in the middle of winter, you might not consider doing it in a boat full of guys in brightly striped swim shorts waving flags. In a snowstorm. With famous American Presidents. And watermelons. Riding Harleys.

But then again you’re probably not Shaun and Nico, 21^st Amendment Brewery founders, putting together their latest fridge variety pack.  “You might not expect some of these beers in the dead of winter, but expectations be damned!” said Freccia.  “Exactly,” added O’Sullivan. “While this is the time of year when brewers are typically introducing strong, heavy beers, we wanted to offer a few surprising alternatives, essentially a variety pack that could be an antidote to winter.“

The 12 pack ‘fridge’ is filled with Freccia’s house favorite, Back in Black IPA as well as his wild card choice, Hell or High Watermelon Wheat, the only place the popular summer seasonal can be found. O’Sullivan chose the brewery’s daring winter seasonal, Sneak Attack Saison and the flagship, Brew Free! or Die IPA. 

“Hell or High Watermelon has previously only been available in the spring and summer,” states O’Sullivan. “But we listen to what our fans want and this refreshing summer fruit-infused wheat beer is in high demand, even after summer ends. Who says you can’t enjoy a little summer goodness just because temperatures have dropped? And Back in Black IPA with its light roast character and hoppy goodness is a great addition.”

“We’re also including Sneak Attack Saison, our winter seasonal brew, which inspired the idea of sneaking up on winter and attacking it with a little taste of summer,” added Freccia. “Sneak Attack is a Belgian-style Saison, spiced with whole, organic green cardamom pods. And the addition of Brew Free! or Die IPA rounds out the fridge pack with its solid malt backbone and firm bitterness. 

Shaun and Nico’s Fridge Variety Pack is a perfect addition to winter gatherings while watching football or sitting around the fire with friends and family and hits shelves on January 4th in all of 21st Amendment’s current distribution territories.
