SAN FRANCISCO (November, 2014) – As the air gets cooler and the days get shorter, ‘tis the season when 21st Amendment co-founders Nico Freccia and Shaun O’Sullivan welcome the limited time re-release of Fireside Chat. Available now throughout the holiday season in six packs and on draft, this traditional English style strong ale features a festive blend of spices capturing warming aromas and flavors of fall and winter.

As in past years, the duo’s goal was to create a beer reminiscent of President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s inspiring evening broadcasts during the Great Depression, aptly named “Fireside chats.” Freccia explains, “FDR’s depression-era radio addresses were like a kick in the butt and a hug at the same time. In the same vein, Fireside Chat is a bold balance of flavors with a punch, quickly followed by a smooth finish.”

“Fireside Chat is our early winter strong ale brewed like a Winter warmer but with a subtle blend of hand-selected spices that I change slightly every year to match the spirit of the holidays,” O’Sullivan says.
Fireside Chat compliments stronger holiday dishes such as meat stews, turkeys and creamy rich risottos. With its unique holiday spices it’s also great with holiday desserts such as apple crumb pie, pumpkin cheesecake and tiramisu. Perfect to enjoy with friends and family.

Fireside Chat (7.9% ABV, 45 IBU) is 21st Amendment’s early winter seasonal brew, available on tap and in cans now through December. Look for packaging with the picture of the FDR, smoking and sharing a laugh with an elf by the fireplace. Fireside Chat is distributed in CA, OR, WA, AK, ID, MN, OH,MA, NY, NJ, DC, DE, MD, PA, VA, GA, ME, RI, NV and NC. For up-to-date availability, events and promotions, visit www.21st-Amendment.com.
