image of "Beer Top Christmas Wreath" sourced from nan palmero's Flickr page Would you look at that. It’s almost December and you still haven’t complained about a hangover. If the previous statement applies then we have an event for you.

Now in its third year, the 12 Beers of Xmas can be summed up as a “mini beer week” for lovers of Winter beers. Held in collaboration with three breweries the event is an opportunity for those who enjoy a good competition. And the rules couldn’t be simpler.

1. Visit Beveridge Place Pub (West Seattle), Naked City Brewery (Greenwood) or The Pine Box (Capitol Hill) anytime from December 1st through 12th to get your punch card and start the tour. While at each location, drink their four featured brews and get your card punched.

2. When all 12 beers are checked off, write your contact info on the back and turn it in to any one of the bars no later than 8pm on December 12th.

3. Completed cards will be collected at Pine Box and Beveridge Place Pub, and taken to the final drawing at Naked City on December 12th around 9pm.

Winners need not be present to win, but it IS highly recommended that they are!

Oh yeah, the prizes and terms after you have killed your liver, brain cells, and wallet.

… enter to win many brewery prizes, including the Grand Prize ski weekend getaway for four to Leavenworth and Stevens Pass! One lucky beer fan will get to bring three more folks to a Leavenworth condo for two nights, including two sets of four lift tickets to Stevens Pass for a full weekend of snow adventure!

Now the question is where do I go first?

Honestly that’s up to you. But we can tell you that two of the bars can reached if you take the number 5 Metro bus and willing to start from 3rd and Pike. And Beveridge Place? Well that’s the Rapid Ride C from the same stop.

Short of hijacking the bus, we can pretty much guarantee a DUI-free night, if you only use transit.

Here are the brewery addresses with the suggested Routes.

Starting in Greenwood? Take the 5 “Downtown Seattle” off Greenwood Avenue N. near 85th facing South.

Naked City Brewery & Taphouse (8564 Greenwood Avenue North  Seattle, WA 98103) and then get off at 3rd Avenue & Pike Street in Downtown Seattle. From there you can walk up Pike to Melrose Avenue and Pine Box (1600 Melrose Avenue  Seattle, WA 98122).

Starting Downtown? Reverse the above and walk from Melrose Avenue down to 3rd Avenue & Pike Street, to catch the Metro 5 to Shoreline.

Heading to Beveridge Place Pub (6413 California Avenue Southwest  Seattle, WA 98136) take the Rapid Ride C, off 3rd Avenue and (you guessed it) Pike Street.

What are you waiting for? Get out there and be prepared to go through more Tylenols than dinner mints.

Cheers
