Press Release

Hood River, Ore. … Ferment Brewing showcases fun examples of sustainability and community involvement through its April beer releases. Beginning today, beer drinkers can enjoy Earth To Beer American Pale Ale, a beer that benefits an adaptive and inclusive nonprofit outfitter. The latest editions in the brewery’s Top & Bottom Ferment series are also available now. Later this month Ferment will tap a collaboration with Grasslands BBQ and Grand Fir Brewing.

Earth To Beer

Earth To Beer American Pale Ale is Ferment Brewing’s contribution to Earth To Beer, a national Earth Day beer campaign in which breweries make beer with environmentally responsible ingredients and give back to environmental nonprofits.

The beer is brewed with malt from Mainstem Malt in Walla Walla and hops from Yakima Chief Hops. All ingredients were sourced from farms with Salmon-Safe certifications, a special designation for farmers and urban developers that adapt watershed-friendly and climate resilient stewardship practices. Beer proceeds benefit Adventures Without Limits, an organization that breaks down barriers to outdoor accessibility with recreational programming and adaptive equipment expertise.

Earth To Beer is available now on draft and in 16oz 4-pack cans at Ferment’s Hood River brewpub, across their distribution channels in Oregon and Washington, and on draft at select specialty events including:

Ferment & Adventures Without Limits Meet & Greet | April 16, 6pm | Saraveza, Portland

Banff Mountain Film Festival | April 18-20 | Revolution Hall, Portland. Adventures Without Limits is the host and beneficiary of the Portland event

Earth To Beer Showcase | April 19, 4:30pm - 7:00pm | Hopworks Brewery, Powell Blvd., Portland | Highlighting 8 beers from the Earth To Beer program

Top & Bottom Ferment Series

Every quarter Ferment releases a top fermenting ale and bottom fermenting lager side by side

in 16oz 4-pack cans as part of their Top & Bottom Ferment series. The latest in the series include El Lager Dorado, an easy-drinking lager brewed with maize and wild agave syrup, and Summer IPA — an unfiltered gold-color ale with big citrus and mango hop character.

Later in April

Grasslands BBQ and Ferment Brewing got together in Portland with friends at Grand Fir Brewing to make a special beer commemorating Grasslands’ reopening and 3-Year Anniversary Hootenanny, which takes place on April 27, at 12pm in Hood River on the lawn behind Ferment. Beer details are secret for now but this is one event beer and bbq lovers will not want to miss.
