With the negative trappings left back in 2020, 2021 is looking optimistic. With seasonable temperatures on the horizon, coupled with a dose of optimism, Double Mountain is thinking positive. Say hello to Westerly Pilsner.

Brewed to be evocative of the beer climate in the region, Westerly is a hop pilsner brewed to be light, crisp, and like many things at the brewery, experimental.

Goin’ out west, where they appreciate a lager with some extra hops. This Northwest-inspired Pilsner is crisp and  dry with a hint of spice from the addition of rye, and just bitter enough to remind you that you’re not in Bohemia  anymore. Go west!

Taking a pause in between sips, Double Mountain Brewery & Cidery sums Westerly like this.

To quote the great Tom Waits, “Goin’ out west, where the winds blow tall!” Westerly is a creation built on desire.  A beer that carries the nuance of Bohemian lager yeast flavors paired with a more hoppy spice profile. Crisp and  satisfying all day.

Available now, on draft and in 12-ounce bottles, look for Westerly at Double Mountain’s two locations in Hood River and Portland’s Woodstock neighborhood. At 5.2% ABV (alcohol by volume) and 25 IBU (international bittering units) it might change your outlook on 2021.

Double Mountain’s two taproom addresses are in Portland at 4336 SE Woodstock Blvd, and in Hood River at 8 4th Street.
