Fifth-generation hop farmer, Crosby Hops, invites you to TopWire Hop Project this Summer 2020.

Fifth-generation hop farmer, Crosby Hops, invites you to TopWire Hop Project this Summer 2020.

Being honest with yourself, have you ever asked what it means when a beer has words like Centennial, Sabra, or Citra in the list of ingredients? If the answer is no, then please continue enjoying your IPA, mixed-fermentation sour, or Gose made with local hops from the Pacific Northwest. If you answered yes, then we have a chance for you to learn more about the hops in your glass and in your ingredient list.

It's called TopWire Hop Project and it's a one of a kind experience for those looking to learn more about hops beyond wordy flavor descriptions.

Located on the grounds of Crosby Hops, in the WIllamette Valley, TopWire Hop Project provides a unique experience, situated in a beer garden amongst the hop trellises and vines of Crosby Hops. Enjoy views of far away, Mt. Hood, daily tours of the grounds, and limited-edition ales or lagers, made in collaboration with numerous breweries, all sourced from fifth-generation hop grower - Crosby Hop Farm.

The project is the culmination of Blake Crosby’s vision (Crosby Hops CEO, 5th generation), and is spearheaded by Jenna Steward, brand experience specialist. TopWire is an extension of Crosby Hop Farm, which works symbiotically with Crosby’s R&D and new variety development efforts. TopWire is positioned to be a key beer destination in the region and a valuable gathering place for the community near and far.

With a focus on recycling building materials, the beer garden is made out of a large shipping container with an eye towards providing a welcoming, imbibing experience. Plans are currently in development to host a large patio which will accommodate all-ages including dogs (on leashes) with an interest in playing or relaxing while enjoying an opportunity to enjoy a beer made with ingredients just minutes away.
