Out now, Crux Fermentation Project Tough Love Barrel-aged Imperial Stout and Mountain Traffic Hoppy Red Ale

Cyclical weather calls for Seasonal beers. Which means the return of Crux Fermentation Project's Tough Love, Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout.

Tough Love lives up to its name and reputation as we continue to construct it with dark roasted malts, malted rye, oak-smoked wheat, blackstrap molasses, and a few other spices before banishing it to Heaven Hills bourbon barrels. The aging process smooths out the edges on an otherwise bold statement, and bitterness succumbs to tender strokes of vanilla beans, hints of dried cherries, and new layers revealing themselves with each sip.

As a celebration of their 7th-edition, the brewery has elected to update their label for this uniquely-suited, 11.5% ABV 'Winter' beer. Look for 500ml bottles on sale at the taproom or throughout the region, wherever Crux Fermentation Project is sold.

Not satisfied with simply releasing a seasonal-favorite, the brewery is releasing a beer with a uniquely-suited name. Dubbed Mountain Traffic, Crux Fermentation Project's Hoppy Red Ale is an homage to mountain-explorers, powder-surfer, and car heater lovers of Bend.

After a fun day in the mountains, nothing sounds more satisfying than sharing a refreshing pint. And while that long line of brake lights heading back into town may slow your journey towards fulfillment, this hoppy and malt-forward red ale is well worth the wait – robust and bursting with rich, hop flavors and a balanced malt body this easy-drinking, apres-whatever winter refresher will have you seeing a different shade of red.

Available now until February, Mountain Traffic is available in 16-ounce 4-packs at their tasting room or wherever you find Crux Fermentation Project beers.

Crux Fermentation Project is located at 50 SW Division Street in Bend, Oregon. For more information including hours and current draft and food menus, visit https://www.cruxfermentation.com/
