(WA) Oktoberfest ... sponsored by Duff Beer?

(Seattle, WA) The self proclaimed "center of the universe" the Fremont neighborhood was once the home of Redhook Ales (headquartered in Woodinville, WA) who have long since left the area. Yet every year the neighborhood has played host to another brewing tradition, Oktoberfest. Managed by Boldhat Productions the festival has for over a two years promoted craft beer, German culture, and above all chainsaw carved pumpkins.

All this would be considered unusual to the visiting eye and now this September it seems, the city of Seattle and the  aforementioned neighborhood can add fictional grand marshal to their list of accolades. You heard that right, Matt Groening's Simpsons which are celebrating their 20th year on the air will be sponsoring Oktoberfest. Look to see some sort of logo featured prominently on your glassware reminding you that those visions of yellow and blue were no illusion. You were just staring through the glass too long.
