Gigantic Brewing and Other Half Brewing collaborate to release "Powder Green Leisure Suit"

Gigantic Brewing is proud to announce the release of “Powder Green Leisure Suit”, a sequel to the “cult classic”, Powder Green Tuxedo. Like before, we brewed with our buddy Sam from Other Half Brewing in NYC, but this time we made an even more stylish, more flashy IPA. Powder Green Leisure Suit is made with the newly available Nectaron Cyro Hops and Experimental Hop 1019, both from Yakima Chief Hops (YCH).
“When Yakima Chief Hops asked us to get together with Other Half and brew a beer to be showcased at their August Function PDX pop-up, we knew we had to make a follow up beer to Powder Green Tuxedo,” explains Ben Love of Gigantic. “We love working on collaborations, and it’s nice to work with friends from different regions that focus on other beer profiles. It expands on what we each normally like to brew, and combines east coast and west coast styles. So when YCH said to make a beer showcasing their New Zealand grown Nectaron Cryo, we knew we could release an intensely tropical citrus beast.”
Powder Green Leisure Suit is not just any IPA. It’s an IPA that’s so stylish and flashy that it’s sure to turn heads. With its deliciously tropical fruit and citrus aroma from Nectaron Cryo and Experimental Hop 1019, this beer is sure to be a hit with fans of both disco and craft beer. Nectaron showcases high levels of pineapple and passionfruit as well as peach and grapefruit hop aromas. YCH 1019 is known for its flavors of pineapple, mango and papaya. All we can really say is, Don’t stop til you get enough!
Powder Green Leisure Suit will be available in bottle and on draft at all three Gigantic locations on First Taste Tuesday, August 15th. Look for it at your favorite beer bar and bottle shop around the Portland area! It is also available at the Yakima Chief Hops pop-up at Function PDX for the month of August.
