Mother Earth Brewing Company releases their latest year-round, beer in Milk Truck. It's Latte in a glass.

Raise your hand if you count yourself among those who have abandoned their coffee houses for an in-house brewed cup of coffee. Keep your hand up if you count yourself among those who have purchased an espresso machine. More still? How about those who have pondered what a beer would taste like with a shot of coffee in it? Sounds appealing, huh? Mother Earth Brewing Company thinks they might have an answer to the question, no one asked, with their latest release Milk Truck.

Brewed with vanilla, coffee, lactose, and oats, Milk Truck from Mother Earth Brewing Company is like a coffeehouse companion, when you need to unwind from a day of working from home or helping your kids with remote learning. For Chris Baker, head of Brewing Ops, Milk Truck ticked the boxes for those looking for a beer to unwind during this “not-normal” period in our lives.

When we sat down to talk beer styles and flavor combinations to test, vanilla was an obvious place to start because we have a lot of experience with it, having produced Cali Creamin’ for over a decade. Once that became the primary flavor to build around, we wanted to add flavors that appeal to a lot of people and also stood out on their own without having to rely on the base beer style to necessarily drive the flavors. What you end up with is a really approachable beer that’s soft and drinkable. In some ways it’s the antithesis of most dark beer styles, which are known for being roasty and aggressive.

For those of you loyalists, consuming Cali Creamin’ Vanilla Cream Ale by the barrel, you’ll be right at home with this newest year-round inductee.

For the rest of you who’ve not taken the Mother Earth taste test, and live in the 18 states where Mother Earth Brewing Company is sold, you’re in for a treat. Before you ask, that also included Mexico, Australia, and the UK.

Look for Milk Truck to be sold in 12 oz cans and limited draft wherever their beer is sold. For those more technically inclined, you can find their beers via findmotherearthbrewing.com.
