Fremont Brewing Company announces their latest experimental Hazy IPA, named for a beloved pet, Ollie India Pale Ale.
Now available, Fremont Brewing Company is proud to announce their latest “experimental hazy IPA”, made with a blend of Citra, Chinook, Mosaic, and Simcoe Hops. Named Ollie, after one of the brewery’s favorite pets, who only recently passed away.

In his own words, co-owner Matt Lincecum states,
“Ollie is missed but lives on in this beer that we now share with all of you”. “Crack open a can and raise a toast to Ollie and the pets that bring so much happiness to our lives.”
But the name is only half the story, if you have been following the brewery throughout their years.

Designed to showcase a bounty of citrus and tropical characteristics, the use of these four hops is an achievement. Coupled with that, the brewery presents Ollie as an unfiltered IPA, which yields a waterway of golden pale that inspires one to take a dip. Of course, like all hops, half the enjoyment is in the aroma which provides effervescent notes of tropical fruits including guava, pineapple, and sweet citrus. Further along the sensory journey it’s easy to develop thoughts of citrus fruit, before the trademark IPA bitterness washes over you, before a riptide of citrus hop.
“Innovation and experimentation is the name of the game when it comes to our rotating IPA series, and to develop the recipe for Ollie IPA, we took cues from our extremely successful, ongoing Head Full of Dynomite series of hazy IPAs,” said director of brewing Matt Lincoln. “Ollie IPA has big hop flavor and is imminently crushable.”
