Introducing Splendor Single Hop IPA from Double Mountain. A single hopped india pale ale showcasing an experimental hop variety.

Press Release

Hood River, OR - May 2021

Double Mountain is elated to release the 2021 single hop seasonal IPA, aptly dubbed Splendor. Owner and Brewmaster Matt Swihart created this year’s dry, intriguing, and beguiling single hop IPA by choosing to highlight an experimental hop variety. Brought to Double Mountain by the experimental hop breeding program, this is a promising new hop that is in the early stages of brewing and growing trials. Showcasing the balance of hop citrus and dank loveliness with a rich English Marris Otter malt, this single hop emphasizes Double Mountain’s love for single hops. Sensationally earthy, and bright, kick back and enjoy this Splendor in a glass. Splendor Single Hop IPA is available in refillable 500ml bottles and on draft at our Hood River Taproom, SE Portland Taproom in the Woodstock neighborhood, and at fine establishments throughout the Northwest.

Splendor Single Hop IPA 6.8% ABV 60 BU

“I fell in love with this hop a few years back and have been wanting to show off its earthy fruity wonderfulness in a single hop beer. Please enjoy socially! distantly! and give a sh*t about the environment and stop buying cans, seriously. Our refillable bottles are truly better for the planet, make choices that help our world” Matt Swihart, Owner & Brewmaster
