Bucking the 'Winter' trend, Von Ebert Brewing has released Seamless Transition and Eat Me Cake.

As the days get shorter, the nights longer and the air reminds everyone that shorts and t-shirts are so July 2020, Von Ebert is resisting the urge (publicly) to let Fall dampen their spirits. Maybe this explains why the brewery is releasing two new bees, one a Hazy IPA and another a Tart Ale in cans.

Announced last week, Von Ebert Brewing Company released their latest canned-editions in Seamless Transition and Eat Me Cake.

Brewed and packaged in the key of an Imperial Hazy IPA, Seamless Transition, features Nelson, Enigma, Strata, Mosaic, and Citra hops. Obviously a compliment of Southern Hemisphere hops, the blend of green is a complimentary chaperone for the estery yeast used to make Seamless.

“We’re excited to put this Imperial Hazy IPA into cans and share it with customers,” said Eric Ebel, Lead Brewer, Von Ebert Pearl. “The can artwork features the ‘seamless transition’ of scenery on the drive from Mt. Hood to Bend, Oregon. Just like the drive from our majestic mountain to the beautiful dry desert of Central Oregon, we aimed to make this beer as smooth as possible.”

Final tasting notes tell the story of an Imperial Hazy IPA with a blend of beery and citrus-forward character, closely resembling tropical fruit passionfruit and pineapple, stone fruit like apricots, and some raspberry. At 8.1%, this beer will need your full attention lest you sip and daydream about flip-flops and short-sleeve walks around the neighborhood.

Backing up this Tropical cocktail, Eat Me Cake tones the alcohol down but cranks up the tart.

Loaded with a fruit salad of blackberries, black currants, and lavender, Eat Me Cake has been described as being well-rounded character for a kettle sour. A member of the “Tart Ale” series, this is the stand-in for the previously mentioned Drink Me Potion.

Look for both Seamless Transition and Eat Me Cake, at both brewery locations, in 16-ounce four-packs.
