Alesong Brewing & Blending announces an expansion into Eugene's 5th Avenue district.

Fast approaching their 5th year, Eugene Oregon brewery Alesong Brewing and Blending has announced the opening of their second location. Located in the 5th Street Market district, the brewery’s new space will provide fans and the curious of Alesong’s unique releases, a place surrounded by food and drink.

Designed with campaigns like their Blender’s Circle bottle club, the second location will provide opportunities for guests to plan an evening, when one can leave their car behind, and relax with a glass of beers like their Rhino Stout, before or after a dining out experience. With the current climate in mind, the ownership has created an expanded, outdoor roof deck patio. Current hours are from 12 pm to 8 pm daily, starting November 20th.

Recognizing the uniqueness of their current taproom, the brewery ownership shares their thoughts.

“Out in the country, with the beautiful view and great company, beer tastes better, jokes are funnier and good days are made great,” chuckles Van Wyk. “We plan on bringing that atmosphere to 5th Street and sharing what we’ve created — just a little closer to home.”

As a side-effect of the expansion, the ownership will reduce availability of their original tasting room, along Oregon’s Government Highway. With swapping views of the valley, Alesong Brewing and Blendings current location will transition toward providing private tasting experiences and a weekend escape for their Blender’s Circle club members.

Seeing the potential for the new location, the brewery shares the following.

“With an in-town location, we’ll have somewhere for people to come and get introduced to what we’ve created at Alesong, while also giving us the unique opportunity to provide an intimate and more exclusive experience for our members and anyone who wants a closer look,” says co-founder Doug Coombs.

Note, private tastings will be by appointment only and include limited vintage bottle pours, carefully paired small plates, and an opportunity to learn more about Alesong’s unique brewing process. For more information about hours and availability, visit www.alesongbrewing.com/visit

Besides private access, co-owners Doug Combs and Matt Van Wyck have plans to host intimate pairing dinners, events featuring local artisans, and of course a welcoming experience to those who seek it out.

About Alesong Brewing and Blending

Alesong Brewing and Blending is a small artisan brewery based in the heart of Southern Willamette Valley wine country that crafts unique and small-batch beers with a focus on oak aging and Belgian-inspired techniques, brewing both wild and non-wild beers, using locally grown fruits, herbs and a host of special yeasts and other microbes.  Once the beer in the barrels has matured, the team samples and selects each barrel individually to blend. Paying homage to old-world Lambic blenders and artisan winemakers, Alesong believes that the final, balanced blend of a barrel-aged beer is much more satisfying than the sum of its parts or each individual barrel by itself.
