Victoria Beer Week releases the schedule for 2020

Victoria Beer Week will return March 6-14, 2020. The 7th annual festival celebrating Victoria’s craft beer culture includes a mix of 14 events over 9 days, including some favourites from past years along with some bold new twists. The week opens with Lift Off! on Friday, March 6 and closes with Saturday Night Casks on March 14, both at the Victoria Public Market. 

New events include Publican’s Picks: A Beer Paired Dinner with Paul Hadfield at Spinnakers Brewpub, Street Eats Brewery Tour with West Coast Brewery Tours, and Lager Than Life,
a special event celebrating the wide world of lagers. See the next page for the full schedule.

Tickets for all events will go on sale on Friday, November 29 at 10:00am online at ticketrocket.co,

Full Beer School Program Will Be Announced in January

Victoria Beer Week will once again feature a Beer School program with classes throughout the week. The full schedule will be announced in January 2020.

Victoria Beer Society Members Discount

Annual members of the Victoria Beer Society receive a variety of benefits including discounted tickets to Lift Off! and Lager Than Life. Full details about the Victoria Beer Society and ticket discounts are available on the VBS website: www.victoriabeersociety.com.

Holiday Promotion

The Victoria Beer Society is also offering a special promotion for the holiday season: “Give the Gift of Beer,” which includes a membership to the Victoria Beer Society for 2020 and an exclusive illustrated “Beer People” t-shirt. Victoria Beer Week announces return with new dates, May 5th thru 13th, 2023. Early-bird tickets go on sale in February.

“New events include Down Unda featuring southern hemisphere hops and New Zealand pilsners alongside SaltChuck Pies at the gorgeous Esquimalt Park Gorge Pavilion; and Sour Power a 70’s themed sour beer disco party with Tight Hair headlining for a real Saturday Night Fever. Dubbel Down will return to the iconic Victoria Public Market on Friday, May 12th for a night of Belgian inspired beers and cuisine. The ever popular Beer & Pizza Night will be hosted at Driftwood Brewery and partners with local vendor Bicycle Pizza for a delicious multi-course pairing. Victoria Beer Week will also kick off the Langford based Friday’s at the Station series at Langford Station. This pop-up beer garden series will continue every Friday for the rest of summer. More details about each event will be released over the next couple weeks on their Instagram, @vicbeerweek. 

Early Bird discounted tickets for Victoria Beer Society members will go on sale on Friday, February 10th at 10:00am online at victoriabeersociety.com. General on-sale for the public is scheduled for Friday, March 17th.”
