A polite reminder to join Ballard breweries in support of Bellwether Housing, at this year's Ballard Brewed Winter Beer Festival

Press Release

SEATTLE --- On Saturday, November 3rd from 2:00 – 7:00 PM all eleven breweries in the Ballard Brewing District will come together under one roof, Hale’s Palladium, to pour tastings of their winter beers and ales.  Proceeds will benefit Bellwether Housing, Seattle’s largest private, nonprofit affordable housing provider.

“We recognize that there is a great need for affordable housing in Seattle,” explained Mike Hale, owner/founder of Hale’s Ales Brewery. “We know it will take resources to solve this problem, so we are coming together and doing what we do best to raise funds to build more homes for low-income families while having a fun and festive event.”

Participating breweries include Bad Jimmy’s, Hales Ales Brewery, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Lucky Envelope Brewing, Maritime Pacific Brewing Company, NW Peaks Brewery, Obec Brewing, Peddler Brewing, Populuxe Brewing, Reuben’s Brews and Stoup Brewing. Each will bring two winter beers, one of which will be released for the first time at the festival.

In addition to delicious beer there will be live music by the Gus Clark Trio at 2:30 PM and Planet Fly at 4:30 PM. Food will be available for purchase from So So Good Food Truck and Big Mario’s Pizza.

“Bellwether Housing is honored to be selected as the beneficiary of this jovial community event,” says Bellwether Housing CEO Susan Boyd. “We’ll raise our glasses while raising money for affordable homes. It’s a win/win!”
