Alesong Brewing and Blending responds after earning Bronze, for "Touch of Brett: Mosaic", at this year's Great American Beer Festival.

EUGENE, OR: Eugene-based Alesong Brewing and Blending earned a bronze medal at the 2017 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) competition. GABF is the largest commercial beer competition in the world and recognizes the most outstanding beers produced in the United States. The top three winners in the competition’s 98 beer-style categories were announced October 8 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.

With so many great breweries in the competition, it’s quite an honor” said Brian Coombs, Alesong’s cellarmaster and one of three founding partners.
Alesong was recognized in the “brett beer” style category for its Touch of Brett: Mosaic, a dry, French-style saison that was primary fermented with Brettanomyces for a fruity and spicy experience. After aging in neutral oak wine barrels, it was dry-hopped liberally with Mosaic hops to complement the ripe pineapple, mango, grapefruit, and rose-like flavors that evolved during the aging time. Alesong currently has the award winning beers pouring on draft and available in bottle at its tasting room, located at 80848 Territorial Highway and open from 12-8 p.m. every Friday - Sunday.
The 2017 GABF competition winners were selected by an international panel of 276 expert judges from 7,923 entries, plus 118 Pro-Am entries, received from 2,217 U.S. breweries.
