8/8/9: Brew-Five-Three: Tacoma Beer & Blues Festival returns for a second year

Benefitting the Broadway Center for the Performing Arts, the "Brew-Five-Three" returns for a 2nd year of blues, food, and beer.

Located at 901 Broadway, in Tacoma's historic downtown, the festival features local beer and food, while local music acts entertain.

Here is what the festival organizers had to say about what makes this year so special.

Brew-Five-Three promises to be bigger and better the second time around. Improvements sourced from survey results from last year’s festival goers include allowing re-entry and larger, now pint-sized souvenir glasses. Well-behaved dogs on leash will still be permitted. Brew Five Three remains a 21+ event; valid photo ID required; no exceptions. Failure to present proper, valid photo identification (driver's license or passport) will result in denial of entry without refund. Brew Five Three will take place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, tents will be constructed and the festival will move under cover.

Advance tickets to Brew Five Three are on sale now. Tickets are $25 through June 21, and are $30 after June 21 to the day of the festival. Members of the military may purchase a $25 ticket without expiry. Designated drivers may purchase a ticket for $10 to enjoy live music, a variety of food vendors, and a festive outdoor atmosphere. To purchase tickets call the Broadway Center Box Office at 253.591.5894, tollfree 1.800.291.7593, visit in person at 901 Broadway in Tacoma's Theater District or online at www.BroadwayCenter.org, or visit The Red Hot or The Beer Essentials.
