Portland Cider Company is donating a portion of their proceeds from sales to the Oregon Zoo Foundation.

“Every time you pop open a can of Portland Cider, you could be helping provide healthy, nutritious food to all the different animals at the Oregon Zoo,” said Helen Lewis, Marketing Director at Portland Cider. “The more six-packs sold, the greater the donation, so this is a great time to stock up a bit for the animals!”

Portland Cider Company announces the release of Abbey Apple Cider. A cider fermented with Belgian Trappist ale yeast.

"I’m kind of a yeast science nerd, and I love experimenting with different yeasts and learning how the flavor nuances change depending on the strain” said Deron Davenport, head cider maker at Portland Cider Co. “The Belgian Trappist yeast in Abbey Apple yields those tropical notes that you might find in a Belgian-style beer, but built on that bright, juicy apple flavor—and none of the gluten. The result is a really satisfying, smooth cider.”
