Block 15 Brewing releases Hypnosis, Illuminated, and Sol Fresco.

Three more, unique, releases have crossed our desk from Corvallis brewery Block 15 Brewing. Showcasing a unique approach to Belgian Abbey practices, Mexican-inspired lagers, and the union between French cognac barrels and English-style Barleywines, the brewery is encouraging you to check out the following.

Releasing soon, and one that is familiar to some, Block 15 announces the return of Illuminated.

Brewed with a variety of grains, hops, before being matured with Belgian candi sugar and classic Belgian yeast, this beer is surprisingly crisp. Another example of the brewery’s commitment to monastic brewing techniques. Look for this one to return soon, at an unsessionable 8.6% ABV.

Following up in April, and geared towards “warm days”, Sol Fresco is a Mexican-inspired lager that is sessionable with a “...gentle corn sweetness, light hop bitterness, and aroma with a crisp, clean finish.” At 4.70% ABV, look for this in the coming weeks at Block 15’s taprooms and wherever you find their beers in the region.

Finally, we share news of Hypnosis. A Barleywine made with English malts, Hypnosis is aged for a year in prior use Congac barrels. The result is a beer that is described by the brewery as being “...rich, warm, and velvety with innuendos of red flame raisins and marzipan.” A beer that will no doubt warm you up, in these still cold Spring evenings. Released this past week, look for this 12.50% ABV sipper at their taprooms or wherever you find their beers, in the coming weeks.
