Cascade Brewing releases Framboise Northwest and the 2020 vintage of Vlad the Imp Aler.

Portland, OR - September 14th, 2022 - Cascade Brewing announces two new releases this month: Vlad the Imp Aler 2020 and Framboise Northwest.

Vlad the Imp Aler has come to visit from the year 2020. One of the most iconic projects in our 20-year history of brewing and blending sour beer. A combination of quad and blond ales aged in bourbon and wine barrels for up to 2 years with orange peel and coriander, Vlad delivers a fresh acidity and light malt sweetness with notes of bourbon, citrus and spice. 11.0% ALC/VOL.

Bringing back a favorite Framboise Northwest, in a new 250ml can format! A Northwest-style interpretation of the traditional raspberry ales of the old world, Framboise Northwest is blend of sour blond ales aged in oak wine barrels for up to two years with locally grown raspberries. Clean, tart and packed with fresh fruit flavor, this sour beer blend celebrates the bountiful berry farms of the Pacific Northwest. 6.8% ALC/VOL.

Both Vlad the Imp Aler 2020 and Framboise Northwest will be available locally at the Cascade Brewing Barrel House at 939 SE Belmont Street and through regular distribution.
