Two local families with experience in the Seattle beer industry are coming together to bring Halcyon Brewing Company to the Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle this fall.
Owners Tom and Lisa Furey, and Matt and Lauren Hipp are bringing their experience across a wide variety of disciplines to introduce a new brewery to the Seattle beer scene. As head brewer, Tom brings a wealth of Seattle craft brewing experience to unique and nuanced beers set to be produced by Halcyon. Halcyon is meant to be a gathering space to build and be in community while pursuing the science and art of unique and inspiring beers. The space boasts a large outdoor patio with mural art from local artist Stevie Shao, ample eventual indoor seating, 14 Halcyon taps plus cider and wine, and a family and dog friendly space. The owner’s cultural backgrounds in Taiwan and Japan are set to play a role in the fabric of the business. Halcyon’s beer will be on a rotation and promises to never stop exploring and refining this journey through taste, and increasing the approachability of beer.
Halcyon Brewing Company is located at 8564 Greenwood Ave N. Seattle, WA 98103 and will be opening its doors Friday, October 22nd.
