Portland, OR … Cascade Brewing has announced two releases coming out today: Ruby Lime and Single Malt Sour, both brand new projects.
Ruby Lime features our sour wheat ale aged in oak barrels and foudres for up to 10 months with late infusions of hibiscus tea and lime leaves. Pouring a deep ruby hue, this mild and refreshing sour ale captures notes of pomegranate and cranberry from the hibiscus tea complemented by the lime leaves’ sweet citrus and floral aromas. Ruby Lime is 5.5% ABV and will be available in 12 oz cans.
Inspired by the classic whiskey sour cocktail, Single Malt Sour features a blend of sour blond and triple ales aged in single malt whiskey barrels for up to two years with late infusions of hand-zested lemon and orange peel. With aromas of single malt whiskey and fresh citrus supported by a lively sour flavor and light residual sweetness, this sour beer interpretation captures all the essential elements of a truly great whiskey sour. Single Malt Sour is 11.1% ABV and will be available in 250ml cans
Both Ruby Lime and Single Malt Sour will be available locally at the Cascade Brewing Barrel House at 939 SE Belmont Street and online at CascadeBrewing.shop for local pickup only. It will be made available through the brewery’s distribution network beginning October 6th.
