Recalling the ravages that assaulted the social consciousness in 2020, Foggy Noggin Brewing Company was like many businesses, full of optimism in 2021. With the prospects of a vaccinated public, it seemed the area was turning a corner (as they say) and normalcy was washing away the malaise of 2020. Instead, as the great Yogi Berra opined, “It’s Deja Vu, All Over Again.”

What this means is that Bothell’s oldest operating brewery, Foggy Noggin, was forced to yet again celebrate their anniversary at a later date and that date is soon.

From 12pm and 5pm, on August 28th, the brewery will open their garage door for takeaway orders of their 2020 and 2021 editions of English Olde Ale Anniversary Ale.

Breaking it down on what makes their English Old Ale Anniversary Ale special is the brewery.

Each year for our Anniversary, we brew this classic English Old Ale 2021 Anniversary Ale (English Old Ale) 6.8% ABV - 55 IBU, which is traditionally brewed for special occasions. Rich British malts are well complemented with the earthy hop tones from the UK Goldings hops. Perfect to drink now, or an excellent ale to cellar for a few years to pick up some wonderful aging characteristics.

Besides bottles, the brewery is offering $8 pints of their 2021 English Old Ale, or bottles of the same vintage at $10 for 22ounces. But if 2021 bottles aren’t your thing, the brewery is offering $22 growler fills, along with older vintage bottles for takeout.
