Two years into this fermented experiment in business, Ferment Brewing Company is expanding their beer availability to nearby Washington state. Long known as a destination brewery, in the tourist-friendly Hood River, Ferment Brewing has remained an elusive brand to find outside of Hood River, save for the usual suspects in Portland. But now it seems, they feel the time is perfect to expand beyond their area code and enter the 206, while introducing Washington to Ferment beers.

Agreeing to cooperative distribution with family-owned wholesale distributor, Orcas Distributing, Ferment Brewing Company has shipped several of their bottled and canned beers, throughout Western Washington. Starting with its full line of signature, bottled beers, and premium ales, the brewery is building a foundation they plan to continue adding to. All this should start showing upon on shelves in time for Memorial Day week. Besides their core and speciality, the brewery plans to expand availability of their limited-edition series, Bottom and Top Ferment line of experiment ales and traditional lagers.

“We’re excited to bring Ferment Brewing beers into Washington for the first time,,” said Dan Peterson, Ferment Brewing Co. brewmaster. “We’re looking forward to introducing the state’s beer lovers to our unique family of ales and lagers.”

For those that live in or around Hood River, including Portland, the brewery will continue self-distributing their beers to bottleshops and select grocery stores including Green Zebra Grocery, Market of Choice, New Seasons Market, and Zupan’s Markets.

Ferment Brewing is located at 403 Portway Ave, along the shore of Hood River. For more information on hours, menus, and the latest news, visit https://www.fermentbrewing.com/
