As many of you stay at home, supporting students or loved ones, the American Homebrewers Association (AHA) wants to invite you to join them in a unique opportunity. Starting at 10 AM PST/1 PM EST, the AHA is taking their Big Brew virtual. Now in its 23rd year, this is your opportunity brew a batch of beer while celebrating with homebrewers and homebrew organizations across the country.

For those interested, it starts with the Big Brew Pledge which acknowledges your participation in this year’s “record-breaking virtual event”. In exchange for your registration, you will receive $5 off a membership in the American Homebrewers Association (AHA) via code BigBrew2020.

For those who have previously participated in the AHA conference, the AHA has selected  Pangea Proxima Polar IPA from Jackalope Brewing Co. from Nashville, Tennessee. Those interested can recover the recipe online. Those who are new to homebrewing, there are resources, such as this “Easy Guide to Making Beer” instruction video.

Finally, those looking for ways to participate or brew their own beer, can visit the AHA’s “directory of homebrew shops” which not only offer the ingredients to make this year’s AHA Big Brew beer but also grains, hops, yeasts, and clone recipes.

The virtual Big Brew starts, May 2nd from 10 AM PST, and is sure to be a welcome distraction during this unique period for one and all.
