As many sit inside their homes, waiting for the weather forecast to transition from temporary blankets of precipitation to scattered clouds, Tavour has announced a new opportunity to support local breweries.

Located In Seattle, Tavour is a door-to-door beer delivery service providing hard-to-get beers from regional and domestic breweries throughout the country. Started a couple years ago, Tavour has become a ubiquitous service in a time when staying at home and social distancing has replaced the traditional public house communion or backyard barbecue.

Tavour always had a clear mission: support independent craft breweries and build a community of like-minded beer lovers. And we’ve never wavered from that.

Which is why, back in late March (20th), the delivery service is started releasing a new box featuring independently owned craft breweries throughout the country, each week. With the goal of supporting local breweries during this unique-period in our lives, Tavour is donating proceeds from each box of beer.

The goal? To stand together and support these indie businesses in a time of crises, when even tomorrow is unknown. And with each curated selection, we can all come together while enjoying a lineup from some of our favorite breweries across the country.

Purchases of each box will benefit the breweries featured in the box. In addition, each box will donate $5 to help the fight for legislation that makes it easy for independent breweries to serve their fans, without the burdens of unfair rules that hinder their growth.

Many are no doubt asking, what’s a box of beer look like? To answer this, Tavour has shared the following on their blog

  • Lupulin Brewing’s Straight Hash Homie Imperial IPA, from Big Lake, Minnesota

  • Greater Good Imperial Brewing’s Pulp Daddy Imperial IPA, from Worcester, Massachusetts

  • Fremont Brewing’s Sky Kraken American Pale Ale, from Seattle, Washington

  • Masthead Brewing’s Paperboy IPA, from Cleveland, Ohio

  • More Brewing’s Orange Cream Marbles IPA, from Villa Park, Illinois

  • Singlecut Beersmiths’ Sammy was Low Imperial IPA, from Astoria, New York.

In exchange for your purchase, via the Tavour app, your purchase will contribute $5 towards the Washington Brewers Guild, who, through the collective membership of local breweries, continue to improve access to beer and breweries in Washington state.

As this marks the eighth-edition, now might be a good time if you haven’t already taken advantage of this unique opportunity to support your local brewers and support the leadership, working hard to improve access to breweries and beer.

For more on the Hoppy Beer Box, which supports the Washington Brewers Guild, here is the following from Tavour.

Here’s what you get:

Lupulin Brewing - Big Lake, MN - Straight Hash Homie Imperial IPA - 7.7% ABV - 2x16oz cans - packaged on 4/9/20

The folks at Lupulin won’t spill the secret recipe for their ultra-dank Straight Hash Homie. We can’t blame ‘em. Like all the fans who call this seasonal Imperial IPA a “must try” on Untappd, we love it so much, we’d try cloning it.

Or, we would if we had this Minnesota brew crew’s GABF Gold Medal-winning skills

In the meantime, we’ll take some guesses at the ingredients:

Organic, Willie Nelson-grown hemp, for aroma. The pineapples from Pineapple Express, for flavor (there were pineapples in that movie, right?).Cheech and Chong’s van, for some haze.A dash of street graffiti, for edge.

Jokes aside, we do know that Lupulin crafts this 7.7% ABV quencher with pure, 100% Lupulin Powder (extra potent, concentrated hop dust)! Don’t be fooled by the soft bitterness and bursts of orange, pineapple, and mango kush flavors — no whole hop pellets or seed cones have touched Straight Hash Homie.

It’s a tricky science to get this much flavor from Lupulin Powder alone, which is why you’re probably going to want to make your own hazy-minded guesses about additional secretive ingredients!

More Brewing - Villa Park, IL - Orange Cream Marbles IPA - 6% ABV - 2x16oz cans - packaged on 4/9/20

Call us an ice cream truck, because we’re headed down your block with a stash of 4.30 Untappd-rated creamsicles

The rest of today’s batch sold out on the brewery’s website in only 15 minutes!

Fans know, it only takes one taste of the real oranges, tropical Citra & El Dorado Hops, creamy vanilla, and luscious lactose in this brew and you’re going to want More.

More Brewing, that is! These award-winners make all beer styles shine. But like we said, it only takes a sip, and you’ll definitely want more from these hop-juice specialists who sport an entire arsenal of 4+ rated IPAs.

And with today’s brew, the creamy fruit flavors from juicy oranges, vanilla, and milk sugar last much longer than hop notes alone — so you don’t have to race through your entire stash all at once.

~Ding-a-ling a-ding-a-ling-ling, a-ding-ding a-ling a-ling-ling~ Do you hear that? It’s not the ice cream man  — it’s Tavour. And we’ve got your delicious creamsicles right here!

Greater Good Imperial Brewing - Worcester, MA - Pulp Daddy Imperial IPA - 8% ABV - 2x16oz cans - packaged on 4/8/20

I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the first you’ve heard about Greater Good — their small-batch, boozy sippers are rarely found outside of New England.

But for nearly 3 years, they’ve dedicated themselves to creating only high ABV beers that fit the Brewers Association’s definition of “Imperial,” earning the title of America’s First All-Imperial Craft Brewery by HopCulture!

After one sip of today’s PULP Daddy Imperial New England IPA — with its dizzying 8% ABV that swims in a river of citrus-soaked haze — it’s clear they know what they’re doing.

According to the Northeast craft connoisseurs on the Mass. Beer Bros website, it beats out brews from Treehouse and Trillium as the Best IPA in Massachusetts

Loaded with orangey Citra and tropically-drenched Mosaic Hops, you’ll taste waves of tangerine juice and notes of drippy mango and ripe melon. It’s so dreamy soft and cloudlike, you won’t believe it packs such a hefty ABV.

Masthead Brewing - Cleveland, OH - Paperboy IPA - 7.3% ABV - 2x16oz cans - packaged on 4/7/20

Extra! Extra! Tavour snagged another flavorful IPA from one of USA Today’s Best New Breweries in America! Read all about it!

If you’re like me, you read most of your news online these days. But I tell ya, Paper Boy NE IPA makes me want to slap on my newsboy cap (yes, I have such a cap) and go yell about it all over the streets!

I’m told I’m not allowed to do that, even if social distancing weren’t a thing. But, get a sip of this beauty, and you’ll want to share the news too. The GABF Gold Medalists at Masthead Brewing loaded it with “massive amounts of Simcoe and Mosaic Hops for a delicious dose of pine, passion fruit, and grapefruit.”

And man, does it sip down lusciously.

Fremont Brewing - Seattle, WA - Sky Kraken Hazy Pale Ale - 5.5% ABV - 2x12oz cans - packaged on 4/3/20

It’s a bird! It’s a plane!

No, it’s the Sky Kraken!

Hop-loving citizens across the Seattle metropolis don’t need Sip Magazine to tell them that Fremont’s Pale Ales are The Best in the Northwest. With tropical flavors more powerful than a locomotive and the ability to leap into deep resinous undertones in a single bound, these Pales may as well have superpowers!

And there’s one canned crusader that’s become one of the most beloved in Fremont’s lineup! With a super-powered hop profile combined with a mild-mannered, Clark Kent-approved 5.5% ABV, you can crush Sky Kraken Hazy Pale Ale like Superman crushes villainy.

Fremont’s expert blend of Citra, Mosaic, and Strata Hops makes for surprisingly powerful flavors. And, it’s naturally unfiltered for layers of juicy citrus, mango, and honeydew. A mild peppery spice comes in for a final “ka-pow!”

Fremont beers get snatched up faster than a speeding bullet whenever they manage to leave the Northwest, and we don’t know when the next exciting episode of Sky Kraken will strike!

*Fremont Brewing is one of Paste Magazine’s Top 3 Breweries of the 2010s, alongside Treehouse and Firestone Walker!

SingleCut Beersmiths - Astoria, NY - Sammy Was Low Imperial IPA - 8.2% ABV - 2x16oz cans - packaged on 4/7/20

Standing out as a hop-focused brewery in NYC is like trying to defeat Usain Bolt in the 100-yard dash. Every craft fan is going to compare your beers to the likes of Other Half, Grimm, and Interboro — some truly stiff competition.

Yet, who is named one of the Best Breweries in New York City by everyone from Vinepair to Craft Beer & Brewing? You guessed it: SingleCut Beersmiths.

That’s why we’re so stoked to share their juicy gem, Sammy Was Low!

This Double Dry Hopped Imperial IPA totes a stellar 4.27 UT-rating from NYC hopheads, proving that the juice specialists at SingleCut are in a class along with the Big Apple’s best.

And it’s that expert status that makes each sip of Sammy Was Low explode with flavors of ripe peach nectar, bright tangerines, and gentle hop bitterness. And it’s what delivers such a light, pillowy soft mouthfeel — the mark of a true beersmith.

About the Washington Brewers Guild

The Washington Brewers Guild (WBG) is a 501 (c) 6 non-profit trade association dedicated to advancing the common interests of Washington craft brewers through legislative advocacy and brewer community building.

The WBG works to unite WA craft brewers and provide a strong and effective voice for the industry to the Legislature and other critical policy making entities.  The WBG provides support to its member breweries by helping brewers navigate state beer laws, providing education forums on issues of interest and importance to WA brewers and connecting brewers with fellow brewers and beer industry suppliers.

The WBG produces two festivals annually: Cask Beer Festival in March and Winter Beer Festival in December.  Both are can’t-miss events for WA beer lovers. Festival goers can feel good knowing that all proceeds from these events go directly to support the WA brewing community.
