With plans to be released this Saturday, February 15th, Little Beast Brewing has announced two new reasons to visit their taproom or your nearby beer shelf - Beer of the Gods and Fogmatic Hazy IPA.

The second in the Maker Series, Beer of the Gods is a small batch Imperial Stout, aged with Ecuadorian Cacao Nibs, Oaxacan honey, and Pasilla de Oaxaca Chile. What makes the chile unique is that it’s smoke-dried for 2 to 3 days, to create a strong smokiness, while the cacao and honey provide a balance of sweetness throughout the beer. At around 11%, Beer of the Gods is a super limited release with only 40, canned cases available in 4-packs at $22.

Following up on Beer of the Gods, Fogmatic Hazy IPA is the latest in their ongoing, monthly, “one-off” series of beers. Starting out with 30 barrels, the brewery canned around 175 cases of this New England-style IPA.

Sensory notes from the brewery reflect on the beers’s notes of ripe pineapple, grapefruit, lime, and orange zest characteristics; made by using Sultana and Citra hops. Besides these two citrus and tropical-inspired hops, the brewery made use of French pale malt, wheat, flaked rye, and malted oats to create the cloudy appearance and soft mouthfeel. At $19.50 per 4-pack, Fogmatic Hazy IPA will be available in Oregon and Washington.

About Little Beast:
Founded by partners in life and work, Charles Porter and Brenda Crow, Little Beast is a family brewery with a passion for making great beer and sharing it with others. We craft wild, wood-aged, and blended beer naturally with diverse cultures, including Saccharomyces, Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus, and wild flora. By harnessing the little beasts that ferment our beer, we capture their untamed beauty and produce farmhouse beers that are diverse in flavor and rare in character.
