Browar Polska acquired by industry veteran, Corwin Beverage Company.

Recently confirmed in early September, the Corwin Beverage Company has announced the acquisition of alcohol beverage company, Browar Polska. With over 100, exclusive, rights to imports in the United States, Browar Polska provides Corwin's sister company, Kendall's Craft Beverages additional offering for its customers.

Since 1941, when the family started with just one truck and three employees, Corwin Beverage Co. has provided the greater Portland and nearby Vancouver (Washington) with over 300 food and beverage options, including Pepsi as well as beer and wine. Now in its 78th year, Corwin is now some 140 employees, employing over 100 trucks. For its part, Browar Polska has remained a sought after distributor since it's debut 20 years ago. Combined the duo will complement each other while providing expanded options in both Washington and Oregon.

“This acquisition further positions Corwin/Kendall’s as a specialty distributor of eclectic beverages at a time when craft and import beer and wine is the fastest growing portion of the industry,” said Keith Richards, CEO of Corwin Beverage. “This is another step in our long-term strategic plan to grow, diversify and invest for the future.”

When asked about the acquisition Witold Szczepaniak, founder and CEO of Browar Polska, said this.

“We appreciate becoming part of the Corwin family of companies where we can provide greater distribution of high-quality imported beverages through a distributor that sets the regional standard for personal service in niche markets ..."

For the foreseeable future, Browar Polska's operations will remain in Seattle with some administrative staff relocating to Corwin's headquarters in Ridgefield, Washington.

As part of Corwin’s emphasis on growth and innovation, Browar Polska will continue operations from their Seattle facility as an independent business unit of the Corwin family of companies with minimal change in sales and operations. Some administrative and technical functions will be consolidated at Corwin’s headquarters in Ridgefield, Wash., on the northern edge of the Portland-Vancouver metropolitan area. Mr. Szczepaniak will partner with Corwin and specialize in sourcing emerging import products that appeal to regional beer and wine enthusiasts. The deal recently closed in September.
