Opening this weekend, Bend's most recent brewery. Introducing Bevel Craft Brewing.

Press Release

Bend, Oregon … Beer-loving Bend’s newest brewery takes flight in the emerging social center of 9th Street Village on Saturday, April 6, at 911 SE Armour Rd. Bevel Craft Brewing invites the community to join in the festivities from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Revelers will enjoy:

  • Live Music by Sleepless Truckers at 2:30 p.m.

  • Sunriver’s “DJ Red Fox”

  • Disc golf-oriented games in the Hop Garden

  • Beer-inspired desserts by Brown's Basics Bakery & Eatery

  • Patio mural unveiling and an opportunity to meet the artist

  • Four new food carts on The Patio -- The Grill 1646, Bend Bowls, Taqueria El Nava

Co-founders Valarie and Nate Doss, both world champion disc golfers, blended their passion for the sport with their love of beer in creating the brewery. The word “bevel” refers to the edge of the disc, which determines its speed and flight path. The taproom pays homage to their roots in the sport, and they used that inspiration to create elements of the taproom. Patrons will get to toss back a brew and then toss a disc in the Hop Garden.

“We love the great memories that are made and shared around the table enjoying great beer with friends and family,” said Valarie. Nate’s brews have been featured at disc golf tournaments across the country, and the brewery is the fulfillment of a long-held dream for the couple.

Bevel Craft Brewing specializes in hop-centric ales that use fresh traditional ingredients and innovative hop processes aimed at pleasing a diversity of tastes. Their passion lies in the India Pale Ale style, and they focus on highlighting the characteristics of the hop in each beer they brew.

The Eastside location fills a gap in beer-crazy Bend, as nearly all of the town’s breweries are located to the west or north. Bevel Craft Brewing will serve as the heart of one of Bend’s undiscovered treasures: 9th Street Village. The Village is also home to the DIYcave makerspace, The Patio (a food court and gathering space), Griffin Hall Coworking, art studios, Bright Place Gallery and more.

“Bright Place Gallery will be showing new work by several of our studio members,” said gallery owner, Stuart Breidenstein. “Plus we will be introducing four new members, with jewelry, leather work and fine art!”

Bevel Craft Brewing creates delicious, hop-forward beers for a variety of tastes. Owners, Valarie and Nate Doss, are both world champion disc golfers, and the brewery they’ve created showcases their love of the sport and their passion for craft beer.

9th Street Village is the home of Bevel Craft Brewing, the DIYcave, The Patio food court, Bright Place Gallery and more. Whatever your interests are, there’s something at 9th Street Village for you!
