Pike Brewing Company opening restaurant and beer bar in Japan’s Nagoya International Airport

Recently Pike Brewing Company's Charles and Rose Ann sent over 600 unique pieces of artwork, associated with the co-owners' theme of beer, to Japan's Chu Chubu Centrair International Airport, as part of the Boeing Company's "Flight of Dreams" exhibition.

Pike Brewing Company joins other Seattle businesses including Beecher's Handmade Cheese, Ethan Stowell Restaurants, Fran's Chocolate, Starbucks Coffee Company, and Eltana. Joining Seattle-based businesses, are businesses which have become fixtures but are not based in Seattle. Current plans are for the brewery to open a new restaurant, beer bar, and gift shop featuring everything from beer to wine and of course brewery memorabilia.

First announced in 2017, Boeing's Flight of Dreams will also feature the first 787 aircraft, which was made possible through cooperation with the city of Nagoya as a parts supplier on the Boeing project. With a tentative opening later this year, the Flight of Dreams will be featured between Terminals 1 and 2 at Chu Chubu Centrair International Airport.

About Pike Brewing Company
Who knows what we’d be drinking today if it weren’t for one couple’s love of complex craft beers and each other.

It was 1989 and Charles and Rose Ann Finkel finally realized a long time dream to open their own brewery in Seattle. During their travels the Finkels had fallen in love with the many beers of Europe, including ales in England, fruit beers in Belgium and pils, dunkels and dopplebocks in Bavaria. Inspired to bring these malty brews back home, where light, mass produced lagers still dominated the American palate, they pioneered a beer & wine importing business. Working with the world’s greatest brewers was inspiring as was seeing how Washington’s wine industry was growing. The Finkels knew that the time was right to start brewing their own full-flavored beers for Seattle.
