News: Eugene: Portland's Old Town Brewing expands distribution to Eugene, through Bigfoot Beverages

Eugene, Ore. ... Old Town Brewing ® (OTB®), a locally owned and operated Portland brewery, announced today its partnership with Eugene-based distributor, Bigfoot Beverages. Just over a year after bottling and distributing its award winning, Pacific Northwest inspired beers to customers in the Portland market, Old Town Brewing is yet again expanding its reach through availability in Eugene.
“This is somewhat of a coming home for us as a brewery, and for me especially,” said Adam Milne, owner of Old Town Brewing. “I was raised in Eugene and Marcola, and actually fell in love with Old Town Pizza’s Eugene location, now Ambrosia, where I celebrated my 9th birthday. To now be announcing Old Town’s availability to Eugene craft beer lovers is an incredible milestone for our team, and I couldn’t be more excited to partner with Bigfoot to make it all happen.”

Milne grew up in the Eugene area, attending Eugene Montessori, Meadowlark Elementary, Mohawk High School and graduating from the University of Oregon with a degree in Marketing and Business. Many years after dining at his favorite childhood restaurant, Eugene’s Old Town Pizza, he saw the original Old Town Portland location up for sale, and he knew he had to buy it, so he left his marketing career at Adidas to purchase the landmark pizza parlor.
Fast forward to 2016, and Old Town now has two locations, including its full-fledged brewery operation that boasts five national and international awards. Following the Eugene expansion, the brewery has big plans to continue growth throughout Southern and Central Oregon through its partnership with Bigfoot Beverages.
OTB is driven by the pursuit of perfecting sessionable, craft beer that reflect the unique flavors and culture of the Pacific Northwest, using local, quality ingredients and not forgetting to experiment and have fun – as proven through their Mushroom Ale which earned the brewery regional and national accolades among top media
You will find Old Town’s international gold medal winning Shanghai’d IPA, two-time silver medal winning Sun Dazed Koslch, and bronze medal winning Paulie’s Not Irish, a red ale, on shelves soon. The brewery will be hosting launch events in the area over the next month, including an Old Town Brewing launch party at The Tap & Growler at 207 E 5th Ave, #115 Eugene, Or 97401 from 6-9pm.
