Family business. The words are synonymous with mob bosses, bakeries, or even grocery stores. But like the celestial big bang, creation has to start somewhere. For the owners of Stoup Brewing, that began three years ago in a quiet corner of the Ballard neighborhood.

With a focus on consistent, balanced beers, brewers Brad Benson and Robyn Schumacher have created award-winning ales and lagers, while co-owner Lara Zahaba serves each one with a smile. But like all labors, there comes a point where relaxing and reflecting on your hard work is necessary. So we are happy to congratulate and encourage imbibers, to visit Stoup Brewing this Saturday, October 29th for their third anniversary.

From noon to 10pm, be refreshed with a variety of beers ranging from sour to barrel-aged to something called "Vic Secret IPA, described as " a hilariously named new experimental hop ... we've shortened Victoria's to Vic".

In addition to refreshment, food truck Napkin Friends will be on hand from 3pm to 7pm, while Traeger grills (complimentary) wings in either spicy or succulent Stoup glaze. Meanwhile, local funk band Planet Fly, with the legendary Larry Rock (of Maritime Brewery and Hale's Ale), will be on hand from 6pm.

Finally, guests are encourage to stay warm under the many tents or near the new beer garden's fire pit.

Stoup Brewing is located at 1108 NW 52nd Street in Seattle, WA 98107.
