Charity Preview: WA: Seattle: 9/9 Beer Authority hosts fund raiser for “Big Hearts & Backpacks”. 9/10 Chuck’s Hop Shop joins the cause.

Details from “Big Hearts & Backpacks”

Join us at the Beer Authority on Tuesday (9/9) and Chuck’s Hop Shop on Wednesday (9/10) to benefit Safe Place! Bring a new children’s backpack and/or school supplies, grab a delicious brew, and win great raffle prizes!

Safe Place is a program run by Hand in Hand Kids in Everett, WA, who provide a secure place for kids in transition after being removed from their homes. Often times, these children arrive at Safe Place in the middle of the night with their belongings in a black garbage bag and not much else.

Our goal is to collect new, unused backpacks and fill them with school supplies, clothing, and toys to benefit the children at Safe Place.

Then on the morning of September 14, we’ll strap the backpacks to us and ride our scooters to Everett to deliver the donation — and lots of hugs.

For the second year in a row, we come together to aid and support Safe Place’s children program and we hope you will join our efforts to make this a benefit to remember!

Here’s the summary of upcoming events where you can contribute, have tons of fun, and participate for a great cause:
