With artwork inspired by nature and with a nod to the Pacific Northwest, Mother Earth Brewing Company is proud to have birthed another Project X series beer in Conditioned Reflex.

Starting with the label, made by Portland (Oregon) artist Corrie Clark, aka Rekkless Effekt, the brewery went with a restrained palette. Focussing on something “seemingly normal and familiar” the artist transforms it into something primitive and fear-inspiring. The result is that while the label seems scary, it portends falsely that unexpected things lie within. Or as the brewery and artist put it.

Conditioned Reflex features the soul-stirring artwork of Portland, OR-based artist Corrie Clark,  also known as Rekkless Effekt. The metallic label showcases a rabid, salivating animal bearing its  teeth, foreshadowing the drinking experience within.

Meanwhile, lingering inside, the brewers at Mother Brewing Company sought to create an inspired, West Coast-style Hazy IPA, that like the can is aggressive on the surface but restrained within.

Benefitting from a combination of Mosaic and Vic Secret hops, the brewers created a tropical Hazy with equal notes of pineapple and passionfruit aroma, and is both juicy and assertive. Reflecting on this beer, Chris Baker, Director of Brewing Operations, had this to say.

For the last Project X of the year we really wanted to create a beer that appealed to those  looking for more oomph in a Hazy while not going totally off the rails. I think we were able to  strike a nice balance between a West Coast IPA and the juicier offerings folks have come to  expect. This is really kind of a hybrid IPA that should appeal to anyone that loves hops.

Now available everywhere you find Mother Earth Brewing Company beers, including their Nampa, Idaho, taproom. Look for Conditioned Reflex in both 16-ounce cans and on draft.
