You’ve seen it countless times. “The Official Beer of” … the NFL, MLB, or the NHL. But what about a beer, brewed collaboratively between another form of entertainment? How about music?

If you’re an active subscriber to this website, you’ve seen your share of collaborations from the established like MXPX or Iron Maiden to local radio stations like KEXP. The world over, breweries are lining up for the opportunity to support popular entertainment? But what about a rising band, singer, or musician, who is still headlining local clubs? Well, there’s at least one brewery who’s up for that sort of action.

Founded in Bellingham, Washington, and with taprooms in Bellingham and Seattle, Aslan Brewing Company saw something in local Seattle septet, The Dip, long before other food and beverage did. In fact, they just released a beer designed in cooperation with the band’s 2019 LP release, “The Dip Delivers”.

But what about the beer you say?

Like the band, “The Dip”, and their music, the unique blend of hops and malt, leads to a beer that is inspired and smooth, just like the band’s music. With their thoughts, here’s Aslan Brewing.

Slow Sipper is a Hazy IPA, reminiscent of an orange creamsicle on a hot summer's day. Citra and Mosaic hops are the stars of the show, showcasing strong lemon and lemon aromas with flavors of sweet orange, grapefruit, and pineapple. A high percentage of wheat and oats lend softness to the body. Pair this beer with any The Dip album, especially while sitting in the sun on a lovely spring day.

With a focus shared by supporting the National Independent Venue Association, both The Dip and Aslan Brewing are sharing the proceeds from every can, draft and yes custom “Slow Sipper” glassware, to this deserving organization.
