Admitting to their own fair share of hoarding, Brouwer’s Cafe has remained one of the preeminent bars in the region for their archived beer. From the casual Imperial Stout to the sought after Belgian, the restaurant and bar across from the old Redhook Ale building continues to surprise. Maybe that’s why the staff are hosting a rare event, featuring beers from Paso Robles’ Firestone Walker Brewing Company.

Located in Paso Robles, Firestone Walker is a jack of all trades be it their India Pale Ales, Anniversary Ales, or their limited-edition barrel-aged releases, to name a few. If you’ve enjoyed any of the countless ales or lagers from the brewery, you only have Adam Firestone and David Walker, the two men who founded this award-winning brewery ‘down South’.

Recognizing early on that Firestone Walker was onto something, owner Matthew Vandenberghe along with senior management sought out the brewers and owners of Firestone Walker, by inviting them to Seattle. Years later, Firestone Walker is no longer an understated brewery from California. But their commitment to supporting the Pacific Northwest remains strong.

Maybe this explains why Firestone Walker co-founder, David Walker, will travel to Seattle on January 23rd for a rare treat - multiple years of Anniversary Ale at Brouwer’s Cafe. Starting at 6 pm, guests who purchase a flight will choose between one or both of the following 10 years of Anniversary Ales:

“The Lion Flight”

“The Bear Flight”

As this is a rare opportunity to sit down and enjoy (potentially) 10 years of Firestone Walker Anniversary Ale in one sitting, the staff at Brouwer’s Cafe not only ask that you seek alternative forms of transport home but also bring your understanding as there will no single glass purchases. In exchange for your understanding, countless others will enjoy this rare opportunity.
