(FORT COLLINS, Colo.) Polls are now open in what will surely prove to be the most delicious election in recent U.S. history. New Belgium Brewing announced today the launch of Vote Voodoo, an election campaign calling on democracy-minded beer drinkers to pick a new Voodoo Ranger rotating IPA from two worthy candidates – Hop Avenger IPA and Starship IPA. The winner will head into full production, taking office as the third offering in Voodoo Ranger’s rotating IPA series and hitting shelves nationwide on Sept.1, 2019.
The Candidates:
Starship IPA – Comet and Galaxy hops give Starship IPA a fresh blast of grapefruit and citrus flavors.
Hop Avenger IPA – With its super juicy tropical aroma, Hop Avenger IPA’s blend of Chinook and Jester hops packs a powerful pineapple punch.

“We’ve seen strong engagement from Voodoo Ranger fans across social media platforms and wanted to explore ways to connect with those drinkers more directly. The Vote Voodoo campaign offers those fans and all hoppy beer drinkers the opportunity to tell us directly what they want in their next IPA,” said Kyle Bradshaw, New Belgium’s Director of Brands.
Voting is now open and ends on Sunday, March 31. The winner will be announced April 2 and inaugurated this fall. Voodoo Ranger fans may vote once per day online at www.votevoodoo.com. While votes are counted and the democratic process works its magic, voters can enjoy the first offering in the Voodoo Ranger rotator series, Liquid Paradise IPA, followed by the devilishly juicy Juicifer IPA, coming in May.
Keep an eye out for election events being held across the country, culminating with an election party at New Belgium’s Fort Collins Liquid Center on March 28.
