Washington breweries Kulshan and North Fork collaborate to release Plank Brothers NW Pilsner.
22 miles. That’s the approximate distance between Washington’s North Fork Brewing and Kulshan Brewery. One from Deming and the other Bellingham, one day the breweries collectively joined forces to create a unique exhibition of cooperation and what a Northwest Pilsner means to the region.
Brewed with rarely seen hops, Ariana, Saphir, Belma, and Lotus; Plank Brothers NW Pilsner will waken your palate with notes of spice, floral bouquets, fruity citrus, and red berries. Founded in 2012 by Bellingham native David Vitt, they are one of the fastest-growing breweries in Whatcom County, highly regarded for making delicious and well-balanced ales and lagers. Just one year after opening, they doubled the size of the brewhouse to 15 barrels in order to keep up with demand. In 2015 they opened a second brewery in the Roosevelt neighborhood, affectionately named “K2,” in Bellingham with a 30-barrel brewhouse. About North Fork Brewery
The North Fork Brewery produces beer in the time-honored, time-intensive style of British Ales, Barrel-aged Belgian style Sours and Lagers, light and black. Our small batches (109 gallons) are hand transferred from fermentation to conditioning and on to serving tanks or oak barrels where they are served directly in our tap room, ensuring a fresh pint every pint.
